By day I work in the community empowering young people who continue to inspire me every day. By night or at least the weekends when I'm free, I take on photography. With passions for creativity and social justice, I hope to make positive change in the world with one small step at a time. Big dreams, yup!

Grew up in San Francisco and spent my summers in Hong Kong & Foshan. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and a bit of Mandarin (learned from high school and watching way too many Taiwan dramas). Picked up my parents' camera at a young age but had to put it down to pursue more tangible goals like finishing school. With photograpy always in the back of my mind, I documented my adventures with friends throughout middle school and high school by "borrowing" my parents' film camera--until one day a 3.2mp Canon digital camera landed in my hands. That was the beginning of a sweet journey and the need for bigger hard drive space.

Encouraged by my friends and community, I took a big step and began doing photography professionally in 2008--first for friends' weddings and community events and now as an ongoimg passion covering a variety of events and projects. I currently shoot with a Canon 7D but I always carry a camera with me whether it's my S95 or iPhone because you never know when you'll need to take a snap. SMILE!

I'm known to be bubbly, optimistic, and a small person with a BIG heart.
